Automotive Parts Manufacturer, Gastonia, NC – Batch Mixing Systems

Upstate Engineering provided engineering services to upgrade an existing Batch Control System and install equipment for a new Mix System. The new equipment included seven storage tanks, two holding tanks, two mixers, and two kneaders. The new Batch Control System utilized primary and backup VMware ESXi servers. The batch management system provides the flexibility required to make multiple products using the same processing equipment.

Our scope included providing control system equipment, control panel design, control system design, programming, recipe development, on-site checkout/startup support, and training.

Chemical Plant, Simpsonville, SC – Chemical Batch Mixing Process Relocation

Upstate Engineering provided engineering services to relocate and automate a Chemical Batch Mixing Process. The equipment included nine raw material Storage Tanks and 10 Mix Tanks. This process produces chemicals with specific UV properties required for use in the printing industry.

Our scope included providing electrical and control system design, programming, and on-site startup support.

Chemical Plant, Spartanburg, SC – Chemical Plant Rebuild

Upstate Engineering provided engineering services to support the rebuild of a chemical plant after fire destroyed most of manufacturing facility. The new manufacturing area included two fully automated reactor systems, eight automated mix tanks, 17 bulk storage tanks, and the associated utilities.

We provided electrical design, control system design, programming, recipe development, on-site startup support, and operator training.
